The Neocate Formula
The type of protein used in Neocate makes it different from other infant formulas. Neocate is an amino acid-based formula in which the proteins are broken down into their simplest and purest form, making it easier for the body to process and digest.
Additionally, Neocate is hypoallergenic; it is less likely to cause an allergic response than other formulas consisting of partially broken down proteins. Proteins that are partially broken down can easily bind onto immune cells that are normally in our body which can trigger an allergic reaction.

Typically, infants are placed on Neocate because of their difficulty in tolerating or digesting whole proteins found in previous formulas which caused allergy symptoms. Only pure amino acid mixtures such as Neocate are considered to be non-allergenic. This gives Neocate a distinct advantage over other infant formulas including hydrolysate-based formulas which contain protein links are therefore have a potential for allergic inflammation
